Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about selling your land for cash. Can't find yours? Call us at (305) 519-8376.
How much does it cost to sell my land to Catalyst?
Nothing. There are no fees, no commissions, and no closing costs. The offer we agree on is the amount you receive at closing — we pay all standard closing costs, including title and escrow fees.
Are there any commissions?
No. We are the buyer, not an agent, so there are no realtor commissions or listing fees. You sell directly to us.
How quickly can I close?
Most closings are completed in 2–4 weeks, and we can often close in as little as 7 days once title work is clear. If you need more time, we'll set the closing date around your schedule — up to 60 days or more.
Do I need a survey?
Usually not. We buy most parcels based on existing county records and legal descriptions. If a survey is ever needed, we order and pay for it.
Do I need to clean up the property?
No. We buy land completely as-is — overgrown brush, old fencing, debris, landlocked access, whatever the condition. You never need to visit or clean the property.
What if I inherited the land?
We work with inherited and probate properties all the time. Our title partners help resolve heirship, estate paperwork, and multi-owner situations at no cost to you.
What if there are back taxes on the property?
That's fine. Unpaid property taxes are simply settled from the sale proceeds at closing. In many cases we can still make a fair offer even when several years of taxes are owed.
Can I sell if I live in another state?
Yes. Most of our sellers are out-of-state owners. Everything is handled remotely — documents are sent by email or mail, notarization can be done near you or online, and funds are wired or mailed by the title company.
How are your offers determined?
We research recent comparable sales in your county, road access, utilities, terrain, zoning, and development potential. Then we make a straightforward cash offer and walk you through exactly how we arrived at it.
Can I sell only part of my property?
Often, yes. If your parcel can be legally split, we can discuss purchasing a portion of your acreage. Tell us what you have in mind on the offer form.
